Crowning of Himself

 

On December 2, 1804, I crowned myself Emperor in Notre-Dame Cathedral, Paris. I crowned my lovely Josephine Empress. I was the first Frenchman to be Emperor in over a thousand years! Everyone trusted me to hold this title because I have won so many battles. France was very accepting of me becoming their emperor and leader. I love all the power  I have gotten just from one single crown. 

 

I got Pope Pius VII to travel to France to give the ceremony a religious feel. I did NOT let him crown me, but instead I placed the crown on my own head and then turned and crowned Josephine with a crown that was almost as beautiful as her. 

 

I am so happy to have my lucky star, Josephine, by my side as my empress. I love her so much and I hoped that we'd  have a future together. 

 

I believe that I can rule France as well as I choose my woman, and fight my battles!
